Hats, Hats, Hats

Here's a few of the hats I've made this month for commission. I've had to model a couple of them because the customer was not around for me to snap a shot.

I really like this design and plan on continuing to improve it. It has it all, really, it is a scarf, a hood, and a sleepy hat. Complete with tassels and pom pom! There is so much going on! I tried to incorporate my customer's favorite colors: red, purple, and yellow.

My boyfriend's brother requested a Dodgers slouchy hat. This was my first attempt at knitting letters and I think I've got a few things figured out for whenever I have a go at it next.

This is just a plain, ole, regular ole, beanie. I LOVE the yarn I used for this, Caron's Simply Soft is just what it says, a basic yarn for a variety of projects but also extremely soft.

Celestial Treasury

I really like the idea of making a new list every week. Be it a treasury on etsy, a list of books I like, other blogs I read or as my boyfriend suggested, top ten favorite hat styles. So for now let Tuesday be new list day! This should be an easy day because I love lists, there are half-crossed-out to-do lists all over my house.

So, this week's list is a treasury I created on etsy of all things Celestial, click to see all the items and their makers!

Etsy Treasury

My friend Jessie Yost from jess2bead created a treasury designed to help Stay warm and look bright! and very cute. She included a sleepy elf hat so I felt like I should share it with all of you. Enjoy the colorful cozies!

Lemon tree and p.s. from last post

This is my early Christmas present, a Dwarf Meyer Lemon. It has little baby lemons growing and a few flowers and buds! So adorable and exciting!

p.s. I won't have to deal with winter winds because I can totally ninja wrap this cowl into awesomeness.

New Knit

So I made some kind of cowl/hood thing out of some leftover baby blanket yarn I had, I wish I could have made it longer but I ran out of yarn. I just used the basic garter stitch and it was relaxing to not have to purl at all, to not count stitches, to just knit knit knit.

Mustache.

I need to weave in the ends.

Shrug thing.

I decided on the name Mitzy.

Old Washington

Today I went to Old Washington, past Maysville, for their winter craft fair. Ginger and I shared a booth and here's our set up.

I couldn't get a good set-up in such little space. Tomorrow should be easier to set up.

This is Ginger's part of the booth. It is well organized and she has beautiful stuff.

I made little bags filled with rice and you can just throw them in the microwave for 30 seconds to a minute and they stay warm for an hour. The tiny matching ones are hand warmers, like hot hands you throw them in your pockets but these are reusable.

Keychains on some twigs.

One awesome thing that came out of this fair is that I was given a kitten that has already had it's shots and has been spayed. She looks like my roommate's cat, Baalthazaar but tiny and sweeter.

Baalthazaar is creepin'.

I'm trying to think of good names. Here's a possible list Jac and I have come up with.

Muffin
Bug
Mitzy
Basil
Mouse
Moose
Lila
Lilith
Kitty
Ally

There were more. Do you have any cute names? Or want to vote on one of these?
