Last year I did not make a New Year's List of Goals. I suppose technically I had a resolution, it was an adjective.
Awesome. I just wanted to make the year awesome, be awesome, do awesome, etc. That worked out really well for the beginning part of the year then I think I forgot that was a goal, I also had a few rough spots. But I graduated from college in 2011 and that is pretty awesome. I made some awesome things. I wish I had just kept in mind my adjective more. So this year I resolve to do that for my new adjectives. Yeah, that's right two adjectives this time.
Classy
Independent
I don't really want to go to much into depth with what that means to me. But I will say classy doesn't mean anything material, it does mean attitude. I want to try to make myself believe I am a classy person.
I also want to make myself believe I am independent. This doesn't mean I need to be alone all the time. But I want to be more comfortable with myself and being alone with myself. I think being alone however doesn't really include me sitting in front of my computer. So those are my personal adjectives that I want to internalize.
I also have a list of things I want to spend time doing.
- I would like to spend time meditating or doing yoga as a way to develop self-knowledge and become comfortable with me.
- I want to dumpster dive more. Or in general be more resourceful.
- I want to do more with my days
- I want to make more friends.
I think that about covers it. I mean I have other like project goals, finish issue one of the IPH, sell something on etsy, sell paintings, blah blah, but those aren't my New Year's goals.
I'd love to hear what your goals are.
