The Beginning.

I have been graduated from college for about a month now. The productivity hasn't picked up yet. I had aspirations of getting a job, making art like crazy crafting, reading and lazing outside with all my new found spare time. But what have I done? Well, not a lot. I'm still in the process of trying to find that perfect part time job that I won't hate too much and that won't leave me drained so I'll still have time to work on art. That job is elusive in a small town though so my half-hearted search continues.
However, cool things have happened this summer too. My boyfriend got a Bamboo tablet. When he told me he was interested my first response was something along the lines of "WTF?!" I mean, he has paper he has a pencil! But then... I used the new tablet. Now it is hooked up to my computer and I have spent many hours doodling, ctrl-z'ing, and re-doodling. I haven't experimented a lot with it but it is indeed fun. And it is already right there on the computer! Convenience!
So here's a few of the basic sketches that I've whipped up on the tablet.

If I were a comic what would I look like?

My boyfriend has had this idea for a comic for quite a while and has been waiting on me to illustrate it for him and I haven't even begun that project, which I am sure is rather annoying to him. But I have done a few character sketches.
Samuel, the main character.

Marsella, his sister. She's in an insane asylum.
Hopefully in the future I will have more posts with interesting comic characters and pretty pictures but that is entirely dependent on motivation which is rather dependent on my consumption of Ale-8. For you non-Kentuckians out there that is a caffeinated beverage in the ginger ale family and I do believe one of the ingredients to be creek water. Alas, I am now addicted to the strange drink because within my circle of friends it is the commune drink. Someone buys a 6-pack and everyone shares. Well that was a prime example of a tangent. And with that the first post has been completed. That only took a month.
